God does love me after all.
I've had a houseguest since May 15th. Today is...August 17th? So three solid months. It's not that I don't love the guy, because I do. It's not that he hasn't been a help around the house, he has. It's not that he's been any more of a pain than having an extra brother around or anything.
But finally, I will have my computer back at night, which is when I prefer to write. Just in time, too, because I am about to embark upon the journey which is the novel. I've been combing the web for research the past few weeks, but all of it during the daytime, while my daughter is awake and playing next to me.
I can't write like that. Not get in the zone down and dirty don't look up for six pages write.
So I will be doing most of my writing at night this winter.
I'm tired, I just helped said former houseguest move a lot of very heavy things into a second floor apartment with very steep stairs in a heat index of 102 degrees. So today's blog is going to be short, and I won't get a chance to update until next week sometime.
Have a great weekend.
